Privacy Policy

This policy covers both the WarmIn web app (warmin.app) and the WarmIn browser extension. The extension's single purpose is to import the signed-in user's own LinkedIn network into WarmIn so the app can reveal warm-introduction paths.

What the extension accesses

When you connect, the extension reads your LinkedIn session on your device and uses it to call LinkedIn's API on your behalf to retrieve your own 1st-degree connections and basic public profile fields (name, headline, company, location, photo). It also reads your own LinkedIn profile to identify your account. The extension does not read your private messages, email, or password.

What we collect and store

We store: your basic LinkedIn profile (name, headline, photo, profile URL); the list and public profile fields of your connections; and search/introduction activity you create in the app. To perform network actions on your behalf, the extension transmits your LinkedIn session token to our servers, where it is encrypted at rest. We do not store your LinkedIn password.

How we use your data

Your data is used only to map your professional network and compute introduction paths to people you are looking for, and to operate, secure, and support the service. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Your network stays private

Your connections and their public profile fields are used only to compute paths through your own network. They are not shared with other WarmIn users, and no other member can search or browse your connections.

Service providers

We share data with infrastructure and processing providers strictly to run the service: our database/hosting provider and Google (Gemini) to rank search results. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Retention and deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can disconnect the extension at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us; we will delete it (except where we must retain records to meet legal obligations).
